The incident occurred the day before in the town of Berlin. Michigan Sheriff Troy Goodnough said that an 8-year-old girl and her 5-year-old brother were killed. Some of the victims were seriously injured.
The car was driven by a 66-year-old woman. She is believed to have been drunk. According to the sheriff, the woman rammed into a wall and drove more than seven meters into the building.
First aid was provided to approximately 15 victims, including adults and children
Three children and six adults were hospitalized with serious or life-threatening injuries. Several of the victims traveled to hospitals by private vehicles.
The woman who was driving was taken into custody. According to the sheriff, she is cooperating with the authorities.
