The minimum wage in Ukraine rises to UAH 7100, which leads to an increase in pensions based on new recalculations.

Starting today, the minimum wage in Ukraine is increasing and, as a result, pensions are also increasing. This was reported by the Pension Fund of Ukraine, UNN writes.

Details

Starting from January 1, 2024, the minimum wage will be set at UAH 7100, which is UAH 400 higher than in 2023. This increase is the basis for the recalculation of pensions for non-working individuals who have reached the age of 65 and have a full insurance record, which should be 30 years for women and 35 years for men.

The minimum amount of payments to such pensioners cannot be less than 40% of the minimum wage, which is UAH 2,840. The pension supplement for honorary donors of Ukraine will also increase from UAH 258.90 to UAH 292.00.

In addition, starting from January 1, the amount of monthly cash payments to persons who have rendered special services to the country will increase, as the subsistence minimum increases. In particular, the subsistence minimum for persons who have lost their ability to work will increase to UAH 2,361, and the subsistence minimum per person per month will increase to UAH 2,920.
