After several days of searching, police detained a man who shot a resident of Rivne region on Sunday, June 30. This was reported by UNN with reference to the National Police.

On the evening of June 30, near the village of Vovchytsia, a 54-year-old resident of Zarichne, while intoxicated, fired several shots from an assault rifle at a 35-year-old resident of Sernyky.
After the crime, he fled in a white Renault Master. The victim died in hospital from his injuries.
Search teams examined the territory and settlements, inspected vehicles, interviewed local residents, checked abandoned buildings, and analyzed surveillance video
Investigators found that the offender explained that he had been carefully hiding in the forest for 4 days. The man also showed law enforcement officers where he had hidden the weapons and ammunition.
Knowing that he was wanted, the man went to a store in the village of Zelena Dibrova after midnight on July 5. The police were already waiting for him there
Investigators served him a notice of suspicion under Part 1 Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The court imposed on the offender a custody for 60 days as a measure of restraint
