The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine should control the issue of nutrition of the military in civilian hospitals. Oksana Alekseeva, a volunteer and director of the NGO "Time of Action", wrote about this on her Facebook page.
The issue of inadequate nutrition of the military in civilian hospitals again.... I will not be popular in accusations or excuses, but will again raise the issue of military food in civilian hospitals according to food certificates. And this issue should be controlled by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine! The military has its own standards and calories, its own quality control laboratories, and our defenders should not depend on changes in the management of civilian hospitals or improper preparation of "civilian" food
Alekseeva also thanked the Odesa RMA and its deputy, Oleksandr Kharkiv, for their quick response.
Recall
A combat medic went on a hunger strike because of poor food and conditions in a psychiatric hospital in Odesa region. On his social media, Konoplya noted that patients are fed food that looks more like glue, and the walls in the wards are covered with mold.
He attached a video to his message showing what the food looked like and the conditions of his stay in the hospital.
The Odesa RSA responded to the scandal. The deputy head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, Oleksandr Kharlov, instructed the relevant department to conduct an inspection and immediately solve the problem with food in one of the regional specialized psychiatric care facilities.
However, it is worth noting that the systemic solution to this problem is the responsibility of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Defense.
