Ukrainian farmers are ready to participate in the Defense Ministry's tenders and supply their products directly to military units. But a clear understanding of the logistics mechanism is needed. This was reported by the president of the Ukrainian Fruit and Vegetable Association Taras Bashtannik in an exclusive commentary to UNN.

According to him, it is necessary to solve the issue of delivery of products from one producer to a large number of endpoints.
"In general, of course, our manufacturers are ready. Because, from what I know, this customer's requirements for quantity and quality are, let's say, absolutely clear, and there is nothing critical. The only point is that I have never participated in such tenders, but I understand that, on the one hand, deliveries are not centralized in terms of the place of delivery. If, for example, 10,000 tons of potatoes are needed for all the needs of this customer, then obviously they need to be delivered to more than one place. It will not be difficult for producers, farms, and enterprises to organize delivery to 2-3 locations. However, if the issue of delivery to each part of the country starts, separately, relatively speaking, it will be not two or three locations, but 30-40, then I am not sure that the manufacturer will do this. In general, the market is structured so that everyone has to do their own thing: the manufacturer produces, someone else deals with distribution and these small deliveries. This is the only nuance," Bashtannik said.
