The police are stepping up patrols on the streets of Chernihiv to ensure security. This was reported by the National Police of Ukraine, UNN reports.

Due to the growing threat and increased tension as a result of the enemy missile attack, Chernihiv police have stepped up security measures on the streets. In particular, the number of foot patrols and car patrols has been increased.
Police officers carry out round-the-clock patrols in cooperation with other law enforcement agencies, including monitoring compliance with curfew restrictions.

On April 17, russian federation launched deadly missile strikes on the center of Chernihiv, killing 17 people, sending 78 people to hospitals for medical care and hospitalizing more than 40. Police lieutenant Alina Mykolayets was among those killed in Chernihiv.
April 18 is declared the Day of Mourning for the victims of Chernihiv.
