A special police operation is underway in Lviv and the region to detain the man who attempted to assassinate public figure and linguist Iryna Farion, UNN reports.
"A special police operation is being conducted in Lviv and in the region, involving officers of all police services and units of the Lviv region. Law enforcement officers are taking all measures to establish the whereabouts and detain the shooter," the Lviv regional police said in a statement.
