Today, King Charles III will deliver a Christmas message from Buckingham Palace against the backdrop of a live Christmas tree with eco-friendly decorations. This was reported by UNN with reference to the press service of Buckingham Palace.
Details
Buckingham Palace says the address will be broadcast at 15:00 on Monday. This will be the second state of the nation address by the king since he ascended the throne, but the first since his coronation in May.
It is noted that this year's decorations for the Christmas tree were made of wood, dried oranges, brown glass, pine cones and paper. The tree itself will be replanted later.
Addendum
King Charles III has consistently supported the environment and advocated for wildlife protection and the fight against climate change. In particular, at the beginning of the month, the British monarch spoke at the UN Climate Summit in Dubai.
Recall
The Bank of England has presented to the public banknotes with the portrait of the new monarch, King Charles. They will start replacing the money with the portrait of the late Elizabeth II only in mid-2024.
