A fire broke out at a chemical plant in the city of Kirovsk, Murmansk region of Russia, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported, UNN reports. The fire started at an altitude of 56 meters, the roof of a warehouse with apatite-nepheline concentrate caught fire.

According to the agency, the fire spread over 1,500 square meters. The fire was extinguished by 46 specialists and 14 pieces of equipment. There were no casualties.
The agency published photos from the scene of the fire. They show black smoke in the upper part of the building. The Ministry of Emergency Situations did not say which company was involved in the fire. From the footage published by the press service, it appears that it is the Kirov branch of Apatit JSC. Its website states that the plant was established on the basis of the Khibiny deposits of apatite-nepheline ores and produces apatite and nepheline concentrates.
