Four underground hospitals, including a perinatal center, will appear in Kherson region, said Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson RMA, on Tuesday during a telethon, UNN reports.
"We will have four hospitals underground, where doctors will be able to treat safely and not worry about a Russian shell hitting the healthcare facility again," Prokudin said.
According to him, the first project to be implemented is an underground operating hospital.
"Another institution is currently restoring protective structures. Volunteers are helping. This is our blood center. Work is underway there," said the head of the RMA.
Prokudin also said that another hospital will have wards for patients with infectious diseases underground, with separate boxes. Work is currently underway there.
"The latest project is an underground perinatal center. According to the already developed project, there will be a maternity and prenatal ward, operating room and postpartum wards," said the head of the Kherson RMA.
