The Fund financed the installation and commissioning of solar stations with uninterruptible power supply systems based on batteries at these two infrastructure facilities.

"Due to the enemy's shelling of critical infrastructure, Ukrainians are constantly risk being left without centralized power supply. The biggest risks are for medical institutions, where uninterrupted power supply is critical for their work equipment that saves lives and keeps seriously ill patients alive. It is also it is also important that kindergartens are constantly supplied with electricity so that little Ukrainians feel cozy, comfortable and safe. Therefore, the Vadym Stolar Foundation has undertaken to finance the installation of alternative power supply systems at two relevant facilities in Kyiv region - a kindergarten in Vyshgorod district and a children's clinic in the Kyiv region, which was greatly assisted by the company "OENZHI SOLAR", - said Natalia Prykhodko, a volunteer of the Foundation.

Valeriy Gerashchenko, the kindergarten's occupational safety engineer, explained the principle of operation and advantages of the backup system.

"Such systems work as follows: when there is electricity in the network, they recharge the batteries, when there is a power outage - automatically, the staff does not even notice, the power is switched to the batteries, and they can work autonomously can work for about 4-5 hours. This way, the kindergarten still has lighting, heating and drinking water," the engineer said.

"It is obvious that Russia will continue to try to destroy our energy infrastructure and we will face not only infrastructure and we are going to have a difficult winter. I understand that children are especially need our attention and support in such difficult times, which is why the team of the Foundation team and partners have implemented a project to provide backup power to for children's institutions," summarized Vadym Stolar, founder of the Foundation.
