The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) will provide Ukraine with 20 thousand tons of metal for the construction of facilities to protect energy facilities from Russian attacks with drones and missiles. It is noted that within the framework of the energy security project funded by the US government, Ukraine has received the first batch of metal in the amount of 5 thousand tons, which is already used in the construction of anti-drone defenses in the western, central, and southern regions.
The percentage of rebar in the project is one of the largest in terms of in terms of volume and cost. We receive the metal as charity. This is an important contribution to the protection of Ukraine's energy infrastructure and the rapid construction of of protective structures
They add that since March of this year, the main concrete structures have been erected around the main Ukrenergo network since March.
It is also noted that the metal is purchased from a Ukrainian manufacturer, and it is already transported from the production to the construction site. In total, the second level of protection the second level of protection includes 22 substations and 63 autotransformers in 14 regions.
