A shortage of electricity was recorded in the Ukrainian power grid due to enemy shelling, the Energy Ministry said on Friday, noting that there were no planned restrictions in Ukraine at 12 o'clock, UNN reports.
Due to damage to generating equipment caused by shelling and increased consumption, a slight shortage of electricity (1 to 2.5% of daily electricity consumption) has occurred in the power system. To balance the system, imports were used - emergency assistance from neighboring countries,
As noted, this is one of the tools to cover the growth in consumption.
"The use of this tool is also planned for the current day. Currently, outage schedules are not used in any of the oblasts. The situation is under control. The power system is balanced," the Ministry of Energy said.
However, the ministry emphasized that it is important to reduce the load on the power system during peak consumption hours (especially in the evening from 17:00 to 19:00).
"The Ministry of Energy appeals to consumers to help power engineers - to reduce the use of energy-intensive appliances in the morning and evening peak hours," the ministry emphasized.
Consequences of shelling
As noted, the enemy fired at thermal power plants in the frontline area during the day. "Due to significant damage, 2 units were put under emergency repair. Also, during the shelling of the station, the equipment on the 330 kV line was disconnected," the statement said.
The missile strike was reportedly aimed at one of the mines of Toretskvuhillya. The mine's operation has been suspended.
The fighting damaged equipment and caused a substation in Kharkiv region to catch fire. A hospital and household consumers were left without electricity.
ZNPP
"The water level in the cooling pond is 15:66 meters. This is enough to meet the needs of the plant," the Ministry of Energy reported.
Import/export
Electricity imports, as noted, amounted to 1122 MWh yesterday. No exports were carried out.
