Active fighting continues around Maryinka with varying success. The russians have tried several times to attack Ukrainian positions, but were driven out. This was reported by Oleksandr Stupun, spokesman for the joint press center of the Tauride Defense Forces, during the marathon, UNN reports .

Asked whether the occupiers' control zone in or around Mariinka has changed, Stupun replied: "Currently, there are ongoing hostilities there, the enemy ran into our positions several times, then they were driven out, that is, active hostilities are ongoing there with varying success."

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valeriy Zaluzhnyi, previously reported that Maryinka was no more. The Ukrainian military has prepared a defensive line outside the settlement.
