The shooting took place in a school in the center of Prague.
"According to preliminary information, we can confirm that there are dead and injured at the scene," Czech police in X report.
Law enforcement officers also called on citizens not to be in the immediate vicinity of the scene and not to leave their homes.
"...the entire Jan Palach Square and the surrounding area are completely closed," the Czech police added.
