Roman Krutsyk will be buried on December 24 at the cemetery in Demianovyi Laz near Ivano-Frankivsk.

Roman Mykolaiovych Krutsyk was born in the village of Yabluniv, Halychyna district, Ivano-Frankivsk region, on July 6, 1945.
He graduated from the Lviv Technical School of Railway Transport and the Law Faculty of Law of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.
Since 1988, he has been a member of the UHF, head of the first branch of the Memorial Society in Ivano-Frankivsk region. Later, he became the head of the Ivano-Frankivsk regional organization of the Memorial Society. He worked on researching of the mass graves of victims of communist repression in the Demianiv Laz tract in Ivano-Frankivsk region.
In May 1994, he was elected to the Parliament. Since 1999, he has headed the Kyiv city organization of the Ukrainian voluntary historical and educational human rights charitable society "Memorial" named after V. Stus.
In 2006-2007, he served as deputy head of the of the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory.
Since 2007, he has been the director of the Museum of the soviet occupation of Ukraine in Kyiv, which was created with his active participation.
