Due to the constant Russian shelling, the government of Ukraine and the General Staff of Ukraine have decided to strengthen the protection of energy infrastructure facilities. This was stated by the State Agency for the Restoration and Development of Infrastructure of Ukraine, UNN reports.

In particular, Ukrainian energy infrastructure facilities received three levels of protection against possible air attacks.
- The first level of protection is the construction of gabions and big bags. Today, the Recovery Agency is protecting 90 facilities in 21 regions from drone and missile debris.
- The second level is protection from drones and shaheds. Concrete structures that have been built around the main Ukrenergo network since March this year. We are protecting 22 substations and 63 autotransformers in 14 regions.
- The third level is missile defense. We are protecting 22 substations from direct hits by the most powerful missiles in 14 regions

The agency added 43] the design is based on input from the General Staff, a manual for the engineering troops, and international regulations received from specialized specialists during their training in the UK according to UK and US norms and standards.

Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, the Chairman of the Board of NPC Ukrenergo, said that this year the density of air defense is higher, it will be much harder for Russians to damage and destroy substations and power plants.
