The fifth president of Ukraine, MP from the European Solidarity party Petro Poroshenko, was denied permission to leave Ukraine because his business trip abroad was canceled by the Verkhovna Rada. This was reported to UNN by the spokesman for the State Border Guard Service, Andriy Demchenko.
Border guards ensure the registration and passage of persons across the border exclusively in accordance with the law, including the Rules for Crossing the Border by Citizens of Ukraine
He reminded that, as is known, during the period of martial law, MPs of Ukraine have the right to cross the state border to leave on the basis of relevant decisions on official business trips.
"As for the MP you are interested in, the border guards have confirmation that his business trip abroad has been canceled. That is why he was not allowed to cross the state border of Ukraine," Demchenko explained.
Context
Poroshenko said that his border guards did not let him travel abroad. He claimed that he had a signed business trip authorization from the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada.
This is not the first time that Petro Poroshenko has been prevented from leaving Ukraine. In May, he was also not allowed to travel abroad on a business trip.
