An obstetrician-gynecologist whose negligent attitude to her professional duties resulted in the death of a boy in Khmelnytsky region will be brought to trial. This was reported by the Khmelnytsky Regional Prosecutor's Office, UNN reports.
Prosecutors of the Volochysk District Prosecutor's Office sent an indictment to the court against an obstetrician-gynecologist on the fact of improper performance of his professional duties, which caused grave consequences (parts 1, 2 of Article 140 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)
The child was reportedly born in July last year. According to law enforcement officials, the obstetrician-gynecologist's negligent attitude to his professional duties during childbirth led to serious consequences for the boy's health.
Among the child's many diagnoses are asphyxiation, central nervous system damage, and hemorrhages. It is noted that the woman was also injured.
In March of this year, the boy died in hospital.
