The High Anti-Corruption Court has remanded in custody Roman Koval, accused of organizing a scheme to embezzle UAH 62 million in public funds, with the possibility of granting bail in the amount of UAH 50 million. The bail provides for Koval's release under certain procedural obligations.

The Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court upheld the bail of Roman Koval, the alleged organizer of the scheme to misappropriate public funds in the amount of more than UAH 62 million during the procurement of the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine, in the amount of UAH 50 million. This was reported by UNN with reference to the SAPO.

On December 19, 2023, the HACC Appeals Chamber dismissed the defense's appeal and upheld the HACC decision of November 22, 2023 to apply a preventive measure in the form of detention with an alternative of UAH 50 million bail to a person whom the investigation considers to be the organizer of a scheme to seize more than UAH 62 million during the purchase of information technology intended to create a system of secure data registers by the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine .
