According to the mayor, safety on Brovary's roads is one of the priorities of the city authorities, and due to prolonged power outages, traffic lights do not work, which creates a threat of emergencies. That is why it was decided to provide autonomous power supply, first of all, to traffic lights at the busiest intersections, where there are always many people and a significant flow of cars.
"Traffic lights at the intersections of Kyivska and Chornykh Zaporozhets, Kyivska and Yaroslav Mudryi, Kyivska and Symona Petliura, Kyivska and Heroiv Ukrayiny streets have already been equipped with inverters and batteries.
In the near future, we plan to provide autonomous traffic lights at the intersection of Kyivska and Taras Shevchenko streets," said Igor Sapozhko.
The mayor added that it is planned to gradually ensure the energy independence of all traffic lights in the city, as it is the safety of people, both pedestrians and drivers.
