HACCU arrests Court of Appeal judge Palenyk and sets bail at UAH 4 million

Judge of the Kyiv Court of Appeal Ihor Palenyk was arrested on suspicion of bribery and a measure of restraint in the form of detention until February 3, 2024 with an alternative of UAH 4 million bail.

The High Anti-Corruption Court has arrested Kyiv Court of Appeal judge Ihor Palenyk, who is suspected of taking a bribe, with the possibility of bail in the amount of UAH 4 million, a UNN correspondent reports.

To apply a preventive measure in the form of detention to the suspect Palenyk. Determine the validity of the decision on detention until February 3, 2024 inclusive. To take Palenik into custody immediately 

- the judge said.

The court also set Palenik's bail at UAH 4 million.

The prosecutor insisted on applying a preventive measure to Palenik in the form of detention with the possibility of bail in the amount of more than UAH 6.9 million.

Addition

Allowed the arrest of all four suspected judges of the Kyiv Court of Appeal, namely Vyacheslav Dziubin, Ihor Palenyk, Viktor Hlynianyi and Yuriy Slyva.

Four judges of the Kyiv Court of Appeal, who were caught taking bribes to lift the seizure of property of a private company, were notified of suspicion.

These are Slyva, Hlynianyi, Palenyk and Dziubin.
