"The war has shown that the development of renewable energy sources is more important than just a matter of generation. It is an element of the country's energy security. And this experience, which Ukraine has gained, is relevant for Europe and the whole world," the minister said.
Galushchenko emphasized that the synchronization of the Ukrainian power system with the European ENTSO-E in the first weeks of the full-scale war not only helped to maintain the stability of the Ukrainian power grid, but also strengthened European partners.
The Minister thanked European Commissioner Kadri Simson for supporting Ukraine and its energy sector in these difficult times and assured that the solidarity of the partners would help to further strengthen the continent's energy security, in particular through Ukraine's integration into European energy markets.
"Renewable energy sources are an important part of our strategy for the future. We are already working on the development of relevant projects. And this is in line with the vision of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy: Ukraine will become the energy hub of Europe," he emphasized.
