Olympic commentator Bob Ballard was expelled from Eurosport after making sexist remarks about the Australian women's swimming team.
Ballard made an inappropriate comment after the Australian team won the 4x100-meter freestyle relay, which caused outrage from his co-host Lizzie Simmonds. A Eurosport spokesperson confirmed that Ballard was suspended from commentary with immediate effect.
Apologizing on social media, Ballard said he did not intend to offend and expressed support for women's sports.
