As noted, the restoration work will begin immediately after the damage is assessed by Ukrenergo and regional power distribution companies' repair teams.
Consumption and generation
As indicated, yesterday, January 1, the daily maximum consumption was in the evening. It was 13.7% lower than on the previous business day, Friday, December 29.
In order to maintain the balance between production and consumption, the operation of renewable energy power plants was limited for 1 hour yesterday, January 1, Ukrenergo said.
"At present, the electricity generated by power plants of all types is enough to ensure the power supply to all legal and household consumers," the NPC said.
Emergency assistance
Yesterday, January 1, the power grid reportedly had a surplus of electricity again. In response to Ukrenergo's request, the Polish power system operator PSE provided emergency assistance from 12:00 to 16:00, urgently buying surplus Ukrainian electricity.
Export/import
Exports are currently carried out during night hours (minimum daily consumption) to Romania. Electricity is imported during daytime hours from Slovakia and Romania.
De-energization
In total, 14 settlements were cut off due to bad weather in the morning, all in Khmelnytsky region.
Due to hostilities and other reasons, 439 settlements remain without electricity in the morning.
