Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi considers the development of unmanned systems as a key technological innovation to gain an advantage over the enemy in the ongoing conflict a priority.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi told in his telegram channel how the Ukrainian military is introducing technological innovations in warfare and why the development of the use of unmanned systems is a priority, UNN reports.

Technology and manufacturability are the key to our advantage over the enemy. Unmanned systems play a prominent role here. Therefore, developing the use of unmanned systems is my priority.

Syrskyi also added that the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Vadym Sukharevskyi, is responsible for drones and their use on the battlefield.

Together with the Chief of the Main Command, Sukharevskyi monitors the acceleration of the implementation of technological innovation solutions and ensures institutional sustainability and adaptability  of the designated military command and control bodies of the defense forces.

Syrsky emphasized that our military should be provided with the most effective and up-to-date weapons. He placed a special emphasis on training specialists in electronic warfare, unmanned systems, automated control systems, etc.

We look for asymmetric solutions to gain a qualitative advantage over a numerically superior enemy. We take a comprehensive approach to planning our needs, primarily taking into account relevant experience from the battlefield. But the most important task that technology and innovation must fulfill is to save the lives of our military.
