On Friday, April 26, a ship controlled by the sanctioned russian company Sovcomflot entered a port in western India. Reuters writes about it, citing sources, UNN reports .
Details
It is noted that India shipped fuel oil from this vessel. Thus, Moscow began to use SCF vessels again to supply oil to its key market, India.
Sources say that the SCF Baltica, which was carrying 90,000 tons of fuel oil for Reliance Industries, the operator of the world's largest oil refinery in Jamnagar, has been lost.

The vessel is expected to leave the port on the same day, after full unloading.
According to Reuters, Indian refiners, including Reliance, have become cautious about accepting cargoes on Sovcomflot vessels. This is likely due to the fact that on February 23, the United States imposed sanctions on the Russian shipping giant and identified 14 crude oil tankers as property in which Sovcomflot had an interest after the war in Ukraine.
At the same time, it is noted that during a visit to India earlier this month, US officials said that Washington wants stable global oil supplies. They also did not ask India to reduce its imports of Russian oil.
The publication added that SCF Baltica is not among the 14 vessels against which Washington has imposed sanctions in recent months. The vessel is managed by Stream Ship Management, a UAE-based company, and its owner is Ashbourne Navigation

Meanwhile, another tanker, the Vladimir Tikhonov, which is expected to arrive next week with Russian oil, is also managed by Stream Ship Management and listed on SCF's website as part of its fleet.
