Experts from the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise conducted complex commission forensic examinations to determine the causes of the plane crash in Brovary on January 18, 2023, which killed the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The conclusions based on the materials of the research have been handed over to investigators and attached to the investigation materials. According to him, unfortunately, this is not the first time that the Institute's experts have worked on airplane crashes. In particular, the institute conducted examinations on the downing of Malaysia Airlines Boeing MH17, the downing of UIA PS752 flight Kyiv-Tehran (January 8, 2020), AN-26 Chuhuiv (September 25, 2020), Luhansk IL-76 (June 14, 2014). Other investigations are currently underway into the facts of aviation accidents. More than 30 highly professional specialists were involved in the examination of the causes of the Brovary crash.
The commission of experts that worked on the investigation of the Brovary plane crash involved more than 30 people - highly professional and experienced specialists in aviation safety, meteorology, air navigation, etc. We have worked out all possible causes of the tragedy. All questions from the pre-trial investigation authorities regarding the technical characteristics of the helicopter, the actions of the responsible persons, the rules of traffic safety and operation of air transport, flight permits, the meteorological situation, the peculiarities of the piloting process and many other issues have been considered in detail. The experts analyzed an extremely large amount of information, conducted all the necessary expert experiments, deciphered the data from the flight data recorders, the so-called "black boxes," restored the day of the accident minute by minute and visualized the moment of the crash second by second
He also added that all the conclusions of the examinations are attached to the investigation materials.

Today, the State Bureau of Investigation announced the completion of the investigation into the January 2023 helicopter crash in Brovary, which killed senior officials of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, and the transfer of the case to court.
The SBI reminded that the head of the Aviation and Aviation Search and Rescue Department of the SES of Ukraine, the acting commander of a special aviation detachment, the deputy commander for flight training, and the commander of an aviation squadron were notified of suspicion for violating flight safety rules.
