Ukrainian displaced entrepreneurs and social volunteers held Christmas with Ukraine charity fairs in 11 European countries, raising funds for Ukraine's defense by selling handicrafts and illustrations.

This year, Ukrainian displaced entrepreneurs and social volunteer initiatives organized charity fairs "Christmas with Ukraine" in 11 European countries. This was reported by UNN with reference to the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy.

Details

Among the fair's participants is entrepreneur Maryna, a native of Lysychansk, Luhansk Oblast, who has a daughter, Maria, and a husband, Andriy, who has been defending Ukraine since 2015.

In 2022, the mother and daughter moved from the immediate combat zone to Dnipro, and from there they moved to Lviv. It was then that the daughter finished her studies as an illustration designer, and Maryna had experience in entrepreneurship. They came up with the idea to create illustrations and apply them to swallows, mugs, posters, and clothing.

The process takes place at their own small production facility, and the products are distributed through social media and souvenir shops. All the money raised during the fair will be used to purchase necessary items for the unit where Maryna's husband serves.

You can also find handmade postcards at the fairs, created by the daughter of a Kharkiv businesswoman, Valeria. The craftswomen did not leave the city even during the active hostilities and continue to live there now, despite regular shelling

Addendum

Social volunteer projects also took part in the Christmas with Ukraine project. In particular, craftsmen Andrii and Petro, together with their colleagues, held workshops for children on making rag dolls and straw crafts. These toys were donated to fairs

- summarized in the ICIP.

The ministry emphasizes that the recovered funds will be directed to the Tycho charity fund, which helps to purchase quadcopters for Ukrainian defenders.

Many displaced craftswomen from the temporarily occupied territories joined the same charity initiative with a variety of products: knitted socks, hats, toys, embroidered bows, didukhs, and clay items.
