Divers have found two dead after a bridge collapsed in Baltimore, USA. Local authorities announced this at a press conference late Wednesday night, UNN reports.
Details
According to the Washington Post, the remains of two people were recovered from a red pickup truck submerged in the Patapsco River, a day after a massive container ship crashed into the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore and collapsed.
At least six people who were part of a construction crew repairing potholes and masonry on the bridge are believed to be dead. Two other workers were rescued.
Jennifer Homendy, chairwoman of the National Transportation Safety Board, said investigators have climbed onto the ship to recover the data recorder - "which is essentially a black box" - and are developing a timeline of events.
