The Zakarpattia region is suffering from flooding due to heavy rains that have led to river flooding. 440 hectares of farmland, the Mukachevo-Lviv highway and two smaller roads have been flooded. This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine on Saturday, UNN writes.
Rescuers are eliminating the consequences of flooding in the Zakarpattia region. (...) Heavy rains have led to a rise in water levels in rivers. As a result, 440 hectares of farmland in Berehovo and Khust districts are flooded, the State Emergency Service reported.
It is noted that two local roads between the villages of Chornotysovo and Kholmovets and between Velyki Komyaty and Shalanky in Berehovo district are flooded, but travel is possible. It was also reported that the highway H-09 Mukachevo-Rohatyn-Lviv between the settlements of Tyachiv and Bedevlya was flooded, but traffic is possible.
In Rakhiv district, due to waterlogging, the supporting wall of a private household in the village of Roztoky has been displaced, the State Emergency Service reports.
Rescuers and specialists of local fire brigades are pumping out water in the basements of residential buildings and households in the cities of Uzhhorod, Svalyava and villages of Tyachiv and Rakhiv districts.
