President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy did not speak online in the U.S. Senate because not only Ukraine's issues were discussed there, Ukrainian Ambassador to the US Oksana Markarova said on Wednesday during a telethon, UNN reports.
Nothing catastrophic actually happened. (...) Today, a number of internal briefings were scheduled, closed briefings, where Secretary Austin and other representatives of the administration spoke... Indeed, there was an idea to join one of these briefings, if possible. We, the delegation, are actively working there, directly, in fact... Precisely because they discussed not only, at some of them, the issue of Ukraine, but also internal issues, so we did not participate today,
According to her, Zelensky has already spoken before the US Congress and holds briefings. "We are always actively in discussion, in contact," Markarova said.
