In Kharkiv region, a 27-year-old volunteer and his 23-year-old wife were killed in an accident on a county road the day before. This was reported by the head of the evacuation department of the "Coordination Humanitarian Center" Oleg Ivanov, writes "Suspilne", informs UNN.

According to the Kharkiv police, the accident occurred on December 10 at about 15:20. Two civilian cars, a Skoda Fabia and a Hyundai Elantra, collided on a ring road.
As a result of the accident, the 27-year-old driver of the Hyundai Elantra and his 23-year-old wife died on the spot. The 37-year-old driver and 34-year-old passenger of the Skoda Fabia were hospitalized.
According to Ivanov, the deceased Arthur was a volunteer with the I Am Saved organization.
"On December 10, we learned about the death of our friend Artur from the I Am Rescued organization, with whom we were constantly evacuating families with children. Many thanks to him for teaching us, and from the beginning of the liberation of part of Kharkiv region he participated in the evacuation," Ivanov said at the briefing.

Investigators opened criminal proceedings under Part 3 of Art. 286 (violation of the rules of road safety or operation of transport by persons driving vehicles) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The article provides for imprisonment for up to 10 years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years.
