On the morning of April 15, at a meeting of the Legal Committee of the Georgian Parliament, the leader of the Citizens party Aleko Elisashvili hit the leader of the parliamentary majority Mamuka Mdinaradze, who was presenting the draft law "On Transparency of Foreign Influence" to the deputies, reports UNN with reference to Paper Kartuli.

"Mdinaradze got a good slap in the face. I said I would do it. Now is not the time to babysit them - they are pulling us straight to Russia. This law should be shoved up their asses - we are either Georgians or slaves. But we are not slaves! You saw it yourself... We must not allow them to pass this law. Those who love Georgia should take to the streets, it doesn't matter if you are Natsi (supporters of the United National Movement) or Kotsi (supporters of the Georgian Dream)," Elisashvili was quoted as saying by Publika .

The committee meeting was suspended. But soon Mdinaradze returned to the podium.
