The US House of Representatives has approved a bill that banning imports of enriched uranium from Russia, Reuters reports, according to UNN.

The document was passed unanimously with the support of both parties.
It is noted that imports of low-enriched Russian uranium will be banned 90 days after the law comes into force.
However, it assumes that the ban will be lifted if there are no other sources of uranium to support the operation of nuclear reactors.
Next, the bill will go to the Senate for a vote.
According to the Energy Information Administration (EIA) of the US Department of Energy of the US Department of Energy, most of the uranium used to power US power plants is imported, and about 12% of imports in 2022 came from the Russian Federation.
