Details
The agency said that for the fifth day in a row the level of consumption is growing, and the capacity of Ukrainian power plants is not enough to cover it.

At the same time, Ukrenergo warned that emergency assistance is more expensive than electricity from planned supplies.
In addition, emergency aid may be denied - neighboring countries do not always have free capacity to support Ukraine.
Addendum
To avoid blackouts and maintain the balance in the power system, Ukrenergo asks Ukrainians to reduce electricity consumption.
In addition, the agency addressed large consumers - shopping and entertainment centers.
The Christmas and New Year holidays have not yet arrived, so festive illuminations may not yet operate at 100% capacity. Less lighting of shop windows during the daytime will also be supported
As a reminder,
Ukraine's Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko said that while blackouts could occurif the power grid is critically damaged, any power outages are expected to be temporary.
