On Sunday, the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs announced that it had reached a preliminary agreement with China to organize resupply missions for a Philippine Navy warship that was stranded in the South China Sea.
The statement noted that this agreement is the result of frank and constructive discussions that took place during bilateral consultations earlier this month.
However, the ministry did not provide specific details on the organization of Philippine missions to replenish supplies aboard the warship Sierra Madre, which is currently stationed on the Second Thomas Shoal reef.
