For the second year in a row, the MHP – Hromada Charitable Foundation (the "foundation") received an audit report from the international audit company PwC in Ukraine.
The audit was conducted in accordance with international audit standards for the fund's financial statements prepared as of December 31, 2023 in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Auditing is important for charities to ensure transparency and responsibility to donors and society. Also, the involvement of auditors helps to see areas for improving internal control systems for accounting and financial reporting.
"we have successfully passed an audit from a leading audit company, whose conclusions are trusted by the entire international community and, in particular, by our donors. Our foundation is one of the top 20 largest charitable foundations in Ukraine according to the Forbes rating and is responsible for using each donation. So, in 2023, we received UAH 747 million, and all this amount was openly and transparently directed to help those who really need it,", commented Alexander Pakholyuk, director of the MHP – Hromada Charitable Foundation.
In his opinion, international audits not only contribute to improving the efficiency and optimization of resource use, but also form a certain culture in the field of charity. This is extremely important, especially in times of War, when foundations and other charitable organizations must promptly allocate funds to cover certain needs.
MHP-Hromada charitable foundation has been working since 2015, comprehensively restoring and developing communities in 13 regions of Ukraine, actively implementing infrastructure, medical, educational and cultural projects together with international and Ukrainian donors.
