It is noted that compared to the end of September 2023 the number of beneficiaries of temporary protection from Ukraine in the EU has increased in all EU countries, except Denmark, where it decreased by 4.5% (-1,700 people).
The largest absolute increase was observed in Germany (+20,465; +1.7%), the Czech Republic (+6,490; +1.8%) and the Netherlands (+4,005; +3.0%)," the report says.
In October, the increase was 1.2%, or 51.8 thousand people, compared to 0.8% in September, 1% in August, 1.1% in July and June, and 1.4-1.3% in May and April.
During these seven months, the largest increase was observed in Germany - a total of more than 150 thousand people, followed by the Czech Republic - 53.8 thousand
As of the end of October, the main EU countries that accepted refugees from Ukraine were Germany (1 million 215.37 thousand people; 28.7% of the of the total), Poland (960.62 thousand people; 22.7%) and the Czech Republic (364.45 thousand people; 8.6%). people; 8.6%). The total share of these three countries is 60.0%.
In September, the fourth largest country by number of refugees from Ukraine with with the status of temporary protection in the EU was Spain - 189.95 thousand, and Bulgaria closed the Bulgaria with 168.30 thousand
