According to the KCSA, about 460 vehicles are involved in snow removal in the capital. First of all, as indicated, the work is carried out on descents and ascents, granite paving, bridges, and the main road arteries of the city.
Utilities also manually remove snow from public transportation stops, narrow sidewalks, stairs, safety islands, and pedestrian crossings. Snow is also removed from yards, both with machinery and manually.
Drivers were urged not to park on the sides of streets and roads to avoid interfering with the work of special equipment. They were also urged to be careful while driving and to reduce their speed to a minimum when approaching pedestrian crossings and childcare facilities.
"Urban transport is operating in the normal mode," KCMA added.
