Moscow is expelling two German journalists. As stated by the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, in response to the closure of the Channel one bureau in Berlin.

In the Russian Federation, it was decided to revoke the accreditation of two correspondents from Germany.
"In response to the German authorities' ban on the stay and work of Channel One correspondents, we are forced to take mirror measures against journalists from the Moscow representative office of the German ARD media group," Maria Zakharova, speaker of the Russian Foreign Ministry, said at a briefing on Wednesday.
Channel One connects the closure of its bureau in Germany with a report on the detention of a German citizen Nikolai Gaiduk. The latter is accused of involvement in blowing up a pipe at a gas distribution station in Kaliningrad in March 2024.

The FSB accused British diplomat Edward Pryor of providing false information and subversive intelligence work. The diplomat was ordered to leave Russia within two weeks, and the British ambassador was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry.
