In Dnipro, a man threatened to detonate a grenade and was detained during a police special operation involving KORD, the National Police reported on Tuesday, UNN reported.

"A man who threatened to detonate a grenade was detained during a police special operation in Dnipro. The suspect's young children, aged two and four, were in the house. They were handed over to the police through the window. No one was injured," the National Police said in a statement on Telegram.
The incident was reported to the police on December 25 at around 10 pm. KORD special forces immediately arrived at the scene.
"As a result of coordinated and professional actions of the special forces, the man was disarmed and detained. He was a local resident of 27 years old. An F-1 grenade was seized from him," the National Police said.
A subsequent search of the premises reportedly revealed four more grenades and smoke bombs.
This fact was registered in the URPTI under Part 1 Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal possession of weapons and ammunition). The issue of registering the incident in the URPTI under Part 1 Art. 129 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (threat to kill) is being decided.
