The Patrol Police of Ukraine has prepared tips for drivers on how to avoid becoming a victim of car thieves, UNN reports.
"Car thefts are usually committed at night, and only in the morning do the owners discover the damaged vehicle and the absence of their belongings," police said.
Patrol policemen gave some tips on how to avoid becoming a victim of car theft:
Do not leave valuables in the car;
lock the car and do not leave the keys in the ignition.
Choose safe parking spaces;
install a reliable alarm system.
"Remember, the integrity of your belongings depends primarily on you - your care and attention. And if you follow these simple and useful recommendations, you will be able to protect your car from the hands of intruders," the law enforcement officers add.
