"At the end of the day, I'll tell you about another challenge for Cherkasy region. This time it's a big one. The danger level is still orange," Taburets said.
As of the evening, 13 houses and 37 yards are flooded in Cherkasy district. Also, several households are flooded in Zolotonosha district. Plus fields and meadows in both districts, with a total area of over 500 hectares.
Taburets emphasized that precautionary measures are being taken to prevent the situation from worsening.
"In particular, the rescuers, together with the cadets, are strengthening and building barrier dams where possible and effective. We are also constantly in touch with residents whose homes are cut off by water. We are ready to provide the necessary assistance and deliver food and water," added the head of the RMA.
The headquarters continues to work around the clock. Operational mobile teams are monitoring the situation.
