US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin called Hezbollah responsible for the attack on the US Embassy in Iraq on Friday, December 8 and said that the United States reserves the right to respond.
The Lebanese group has claimed responsibility for 11 attacks on U.S. forces. And United States officials have reported more than 80 attacks in Iraq and Syria on US forces since mid-October.
