Estonia is preparing a new package of military aid to Ukraine, which will include artillery ammunition, anti-tank guns and sniper equipment. This was reported by the Estonian Ministry of Defense, UNN reports.
Details
It is noted that during a visit to Kyiv , Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur announced the next package of military aid worth 20 million euros during a visit to Kyiv on Thursday.
The package includes, for example, recoilless anti-tank guns, explosives, various shells, gas masks, sniper equipment, smaller caliber ammunition, and more. We have designed the aid package in such a way that Ukraine will benefit from it as much as possible, while not affecting the combat readiness of the Estonian Defense Forces
Package also contains 155 mm caliber shells, which is an additional contribution by Estonia to the European Union's initiative to send one million shells to Ukraine.
Addendum
Estonia's contribution will be partially funded by Denmark. The exact amount of ammunition is not disclosed for security reasons.
Pevkur noted that as summer approaches, Ukraine needs ammunition, all air defense elements, as well as spare parts and electronic warfare equipment.
Recall
Estonia has proposed a financing plan for Ukraine worth 120 billion euros a year. Tallinn believes that the best way to achieve this goal is to borrow from the financial markets or take it from national budgets.
