Germany extends temporary protection for Ukrainian refugees until March 2025

Germany has extended temporary residence permits for Ukrainian refugees until March 2025, ensuring continued access to education and employment without the need to submit additional applications.

German authorities has extended the temporary residence permit for Ukrainian refugees until March 4 March 2025. The relevant resolution was adopted on Friday, November 24, by the German Bundesrat on Friday, November 24. UNN reports with reference to the German Ministry of the Interior.

Permits for residence permits for refugees from Ukraine who fled the Russian aggressive war and received protection in Germany will be valid until March 4, 2025.  The grounds for further extension of temporary protection temporary protection is based on a decision of the EU member states at the end of September 2023
