Details
Today, the Kyiv authorities announced the suspension of train traffic on the section between Lybidska and Demiivska stations of the Obolon-Teremkivska metro line. According to preliminary data, these circumstances arose due to the depressurization of the tunnel and the appearance of cracks in its walls, which led to the flooding of the tunnel in this section of the subway.
The prosecutor's office added that during the pre-trial investigation, law enforcement officers will investigate the circumstances that led to these consequences. Also, the investigation will provide a legal assessment of the actions of officials of the Kyiv Metro and contractors who built the distillation tunnels between Demiivska and Lybidska stations in the floodplain of the Lybid River.
