"Yesterday, a fire broke out at one of the thermal power plants, causing temporary disruptions to the plant's operation. The fire has been extinguished and the equipment has been powered up," the statement said.
As indicated, the TPP and CHPP units were put out of service for emergency short-term repairs, while the thermal power plant unit was reconnected after short-term repairs.
"To meet the needs of consumers, we have used heat and hydro generation reserves. Commercial imports and exports of electricity are planned. The situation is under control. The system is balanced. No blackout schedules are applied," the Ministry of Energy said.
Consequences of shelling and other causes of power outages
In Kharkiv region, numerous shelling reportedly disconnected 110 kV overhead lines and de-energized substations supplying household consumers and the railroad (no train traffic disruptions). All consumers were promptly supplied with power from the reserve.
As a result of hostile shelling in Sumy district, a low-pressure gas pipeline was damaged, 26 consumers of an apartment building were disconnected from gas supply, the agency added.
A 110 kV overhead line in Cherkasy region was disconnected for technical reasons, resulting in a blackout at a substation that supplies household and industrial consumers. All subscribers have been supplied with power, the Ministry of Energy said.
As a result of technological disruptions, 110 kV OHL in of Donetsk region was disconnected, and household consumers were cut off from electricity.
In Zhytomyr region, substation equipment was shut down, and household and industrial consumers lost power. Within an hour, the equipment was back online and all consumers were supplied with power.
Situation at ZNPP
The water level in the cooling pond is 15.52 meters. This is sufficient to meet the needs of the plant.
Import and export
For the current day, electricity imports are projected at 5243 MWh. Exports are also planned up to 2026 MWh.
