A preliminary investigation into war crimes committed by the leader of the Russian neo-Nazi group Rusich, Jan Petrovsky, will begin in Finland. This was reported by Yle, according to UNN.
Details
The preliminary investigation is being conducted in Finland, as the Finnish court rejected Ukraine's request to extradite the neo-Nazi.
Similar cases can be investigated outside of Ukraine, as they constitute an international crime.
The defendant was caught in Finland in August during an external control by the Border Guard. There he gave a new name - Voislava Torden.
According to the Finnish prosecutor's office, war crimes were committed before 2022 in eastern Ukraine. These are actions against wounded or captured Ukrainian soldiers.
